The Art of Swearing

Sometimes, some situations in life may call for you to declare “Fuck it!” so that you can move on and not get caught up in things that you either cannot control, or shouldn’t be getting bothered by.

Life has many twists and turns, leeways and loopholes, and as much as you may try, you simply cannot control it. You can guide things in the direction that you want, maybe, but most of the time things are beyond our control and you should probably fuck that shit and let it go.

And stating out loud, “fuck it!” or “bollocks to that!” is an amazing release when you find yourself agitated and annoyed by certain things or people. A deep breath in, a long exhale out and a swear word of your choice said with almighty enthusiasm is way better than any other meditation.

It takes your thoughts and feelings about any given situation and releases them; it makes you feel so much better as you consciously let go of the negative thoughts and tension your mind was holding to.

Because, at the end of the day, the only thing you can completely control in life is yourself, and we need to learn to go with the flow, let it be and be at peace with ourselves. It’s all too easy to get caught up in things, and a carefully selected swear word, said with intention, can help you get there. Hey why not even try one of those adult colouring books with swear words in, or just scribble on a piece a paper. It’s practically a form of self-care; it’s got to become your favourite therapy. Nothing like “fucks” and “shits” to make you feel better about things.
